Danny Songhurst Bio:
Danny Songhurst is the founder of Songhurst Guitars. Danny has a long history of restoring everything from pre 1941 street rods to Victorian era houses. His true passion lies in guitars. His Uncle Mark owned a guitar shop that specialized in high end and vintage guitars. Mark introduced Danny to a wealth of trade secrets and setup/repair work from an early age. Unfortunately, Mark passed away in 2006.
Danny attempted to build his first electric guitar at the age of 15 with no instructions using only some leftover decking material that was available to him - a 2x12 and a 2x4. While the 2x12 guitar did not work out the way he imagined, it inspired him to become a guitar builder. He has since chiseled his way to perfection in woodworking. Now Songhurst Guitars offers some of the most beautiful, rich sounding, and timeless boutique guitars available.
Every Songhurst guitar is built by Danny from hand selecting the perfect tonewood to the final passes with the buffing wheel. Songhurst guitars are true boutique instruments. At peak production, approximately 20 are crafted annually. Every guitar must meet the highest standards before it can be shipped with the Songhurst name on it.

The Beginning
Danny & I met through our mutual friend Derek Stroker (Also a Songhurst Endorsee) while I was playing with Derek in Nashville TN I tried out Derek's Songhurst Guitar and instantly fell in love! Got Danny's contact information and we instantly started planning the Signature Series guitar. Our goal is to have it finished by April 2010 and do a strong press release on this magnificant piece from the second I take delivery on it. Stay tuned on it's constant development!
